Days Out Are For Dogs Too

The National Stone Centre brings a different kind of Peak District day out, where the landscape itself becomes the main story and dogs get to trot alongside you as you wander through quarry trails and big, open views. It’s part learning, part wandering, with geological displays woven into a space that still feels very outdoors-first, so it never tips into heavy museum energy. It works best when you lean into it as a slower explore, letting dogs sniff their way along the paths while you take in the scale of the place and quietly realise you’ve been there longer than expected.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome across the outdoor site and trails. A good option for dogs who enjoy open space and slower exploring.
