National Tramway Museum is a heritage day out with proper character, mixing museum displays with a recreated period street and vintage tram rides that make the whole place feel alive rather than static.

Visitors can hop aboard restored trams and roll through the Derbyshire countryside, which gives the whole place a lovely old-world feel.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are very welcome across the site, including all outdoor areas, indoor exhibitions and even on the trams (usually on the lower deck). They must be kept on leads at all times and are not permitted in the main café or indoor play area, but can join you inside the ground floor of the Red Lion pub for a proper sit-down stop.

Seen this?  It marks our Recommended Partners - places that go that bit further, so dogs feel properly welcome (and you can actually relax)
