National Trust – Croome, near Worcester in Worcestershire, is a vast Capability Brown-designed parkland and one of the most rewarding dog-friendly days out in the region. Dogs on short leads are welcome across the parkland, in visitor reception and in the shop, making it a genuinely dog-inclusive visit from the moment you arrive.

The estate offers lakeside loops, open lawns, woodland edges and long wandering routes through an 18th-century landscape — the kind of walk that quietly adds an extra mile without anyone minding. The café is open daily in the restored RAF wartime visitor centre, and there is covered outdoor seating for post-walk refreshments, so the dog can decompress while the humans recover.

On-site parking is available, and the parkland is spread out enough that even a busy day rarely feels crowded. Bring a lead, expect sniff stops, and plan for longer than you think.
