National Trust - Prior Park Landscape Garden sits above Bath with sweeping views and scenic walking routes that feel effortlessly grand. Dogs are welcome on lead all year, so you can enjoy the woodland paths, open stretches and that satisfying moment when you turn around and see the city laid out below you together.
Expect slopes, steps and plenty of sniff-worthy territory. Keep dogs on paths, away from wildlife and under control on the steeper sections. Check the National Trust page for tickets, opening hours and route notes before you visit.
It's a brilliant half-day outdoors option and especially lovely in changing seasons, with enough variety to keep both paws and people happily occupied.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome on a short lead all year. Keep them on paths, away from wildlife, and under control on slopes and steps—nobody wants a downhill scramble with a hopeful nose in charge.
