National Trust - The Weir Garden near Hereford is a riverside garden with a waymarked 1-mile walk through parkland offering sweeping views of the River Wye and the Herefordshire countryside. Dogs are welcome in all areas of the parkland and gardens, making it a lovely slower-paced day out for curious noses and patient humans.

Several narrow paths wind through the riverside garden, and the parkland is home to sheep and cattle, so all dogs need to stay on leads and under control throughout the visit. Dog waste bins are located near the toilets and at the end of the walk, and water bowls can be found at the welcome kiosk and by the toilets.

It's the kind of place where natural beauty does the work, paws can enjoy a proper sniff-filled circuit, and nobody needs to rush. Just bring leads, bags and a sense of riverside calm.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome throughout the parkland and gardens on leads, with waste bins near the toilets and at the end of the walk. Water bowls are at the welcome kiosk and by the toilets, so thirsty noses are covered.
