Nethergate Shop & Taproom in Bury St Edmunds is a central taproom and shop where well-behaved dogs are welcome inside. It's a useful stop if you're exploring the town centre with your dog and want somewhere refreshingly drinks-led—no food menu to navigate, just a cosy bar area and a shop full of craft beers and gifts under one roof. The taproom opens Wednesday to Saturday from 10am until 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, closed Monday and Tuesday.

You can bring your dog inside to browse the shop, settle in for a pint or pick up a bottle to take away. It's close to the cathedral and main shopping streets, so parking is in the nearby public car parks rather than on site.

Dogs are welcome both inside and outside, so nobody has to volunteer for pavement duty while the rest of the group enjoys a proper sit-down. A good central option when you need somewhere that treats the dog as part of the plan, not an afterthought.
