Nevis Range Mountain Gondola is a scenic cable-car attraction about seven miles from Fort William, offering dog-friendly access to Britain's only mountain gondola and the upper slopes of Aonach Mòr. Dogs are welcome in the enclosed gondola cabins and the ride to 650 metres gives walkers and sightseers a practical lift into mountain terrain without leaving your four-legged companion at the car.
At the base station, dogs on leads may join you in the Snowgoose Restaurant & Bar and Pinemarten Cafe Bar, making it possible to grab food or a coffee with the whole crew in tow. The gondola operates daily, with the last cabin up at 16:45 and the last down at 17:00 and tickets can be bought online or on site.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, both inside the gondola and in all public areas. It's a paid attraction and a strong option for dog owners looking for a proper day-out experience in the Highlands, combining high-altitude access with the chance to keep everyone together.
