That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Newark Park is one of those “wander and take it in” kind of places, set high on the Cotswold escarpment with sweeping views across the Severn Valley. It blends historic house, landscaped gardens and wide estate walks into a day out that feels easy rather than structured, especially when the dog is along for the ride.

There’s plenty of space to stretch legs, from woodland paths to open parkland, with waymarked routes that let you shape the day as you go. It leans more towards peaceful exploring than big-ticket attraction, making it a great choice when you want something scenic, unhurried and properly outdoors.

A tea pavilion sits at the heart of it for a simple coffee-and-cake pause, giving you a natural break point before heading back out again.
