Dog Wash Express in Newquay is a self-service dog wash at the dog-friendly Headland Hotel & Spa, making it the ideal "before the car becomes a sandpit" pit stop. It's open to hotel guests and non-guests, so nobody has to flash a room key or pretend they're staying in Suite 12.

The location is spot on: about two minutes from year-round dog-friendly Fistral Beach and roughly a minute from the coast path, perfect for rinsing off salty fur and mud-magnet paws after a beach blast or clifftop stomp. The wash runs seven days a week, 8am to 8pm, with no appointment needed. Parking is free while using it, just register the vehicle at reception to avoid surprise charges.

It's practical coastal clean-up for sandy, salty or muddy dogs, with everything on hand to tackle post-beach chaos before the journey home.
