Newstead Abbey

Newstead Abbey is a historic house and gardens set in an expansive estate near Nottingham, offering dog owners a full day out exploring parkland, formal gardens and grounds steeped in literary history. Dogs are welcome throughout the outdoor areas on a lead, making it an ideal destination for a long wander with your four-paw companion in tow. The park and gardens open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (last entry 4:00 pm), with the cloisters exhibition open daily from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm (last entry 3:00 pm).

There's plenty of space for a good sniff and a proper stretch of the legs across the estate grounds. Assistance dogs are welcome in the house, café and shop, but ordinary pet dogs remain outdoor guests only.

Site entry and parking charges apply, with annual parking passes available for regular visitors. It's a beautiful estate setting for a dog-friendly day out when the forecast plays fair.
