That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

No 28 The Cookery is a little café gem near Ilfracombe harbour that takes comfort food seriously, including cream teas and savoury treats that feel like a holiday reward. Dogs are welcome inside, so everyone can refuel together with great coffee, loose leaf tea, and something baked that makes you momentarily forget your phone exists.
It's a friendly, relaxed place ideal after a walk when your dog is pleasantly tired and you want to sit somewhere warm and unhurried. There are options that suit different diets, so it works well for mixed groups, and the atmosphere feels genuinely welcoming.
It's also a great "one more stop" spot before you head back to the car, because everyone can regroup and reset. Expect cosy vibes, happy humans, and a dog who tries very hard to look starved.
Good to know:
Water bowls available

Dog Policy:
Well behaved dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle. Please keep them on a lead.
