The Norfolk Terrier is a friendly neighbourhood pub in central Thetford, serving food Wednesday to Sunday and welcoming dogs inside throughout. You'll find sports on the screens, a relaxed bar atmosphere and water bowls and free treats waiting for your four-pawed regular. Dogs are welcome everywhere inside, so you can settle in together whether you're stopping for lunch midweek or Sunday dinner.

Food is served from noon to 9pm Wednesday to Saturday and until 5pm on Sundays, with the bar open later into the evening. There's on-site parking, which takes the edge off arrival with leads and shopping in tow.

Handy for town-centre strolls and central Thetford stays, this is the sort of practical, no-fuss local that makes multi-day exploring with a dog much easier. Pop in after a wander round the historic market town, grab a table and let them supervise proceedings from under your chair.
