North Norfolk Railway is a heritage railway running between Sheringham and Holt, offering a scenic coastal journey through North Norfolk with stations at Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt. Dogs can travel on most trains with a ticket, making it a brilliant day out for visitors staying near Cromer who want to explore the coastline without leaving their dog behind. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at stations and on board and they can't sit on seats or tables.

First Class areas are off-limits and dogs aren't allowed on certain special services including dining trains, Santa Specials and the Norfolk Lights Express. The Sheringham buffet seating area welcomes dogs, though the servery and buffets at Weybourne and Holt don't.

Parking is available at Holt Station, with a large pay-and-display car park opposite Sheringham Station and blue badge spaces at both Holt and Sheringham. Advance booking is recommended for some services and dog tickets can be booked online for permitted trains.
