North Wales Garden World is a substantial independent garden centre in Kinmel Bay, just two minutes off the A55 with plenty of parking and easy disabled access. Dogs are welcome inside the large covered showrooms, which stock home and garden ranges alongside an ice-cream parlour—a practical all-weather stop when the coast delivers rain instead of sunshine.

The indoor retail areas give you and your dog space to browse without the usual tether-and-dash compromise and the café is dog friendly if you need a sit-down with a lead under the table. It's the sort of place that works equally well for a plant mission or killing time between beach walks.

Located roughly ten miles east of Llandudno on the coastal route towards Rhyl, it makes a sensible destination break with the dog in tow. No need to leave them in the car while you hunt for compost or cake.
