Notcutts Wheatcroft

Notcutts Wheatcroft is a large garden centre in Edwalton, about four miles south of Nottingham, where dogs are welcome inside. You'll find plants, homewares, a pet shop and a show garden, making it a useful local stop when you need more than compost and your dog needs more than staying in the car.

Well-behaved dogs can join you through the retail areas, so you can browse without splitting up or arranging relay shifts. The garden centre covers the usual departments and the pet shop means you can restock lead bags and treats while you're already there.

There's a restaurant on site, but dogs are welcome only in the outdoor seating area, not inside the dining room. If the weather's kind and you fancy a sit-down, the outdoor tables let you keep the dog with you.
