Nottingham Castle

Nottingham Castle is a major heritage attraction perched above the city centre, with castle grounds, gardens and a museum complex exploring art, social history and the legend of Robin Hood. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds and gardens, but ordinary pet dogs aren't allowed in the buildings or caves. Assistance dogs can join their owners throughout.

The castle grounds offer outdoor space for a stroll between galleries or while the rest of the group explores inside. There's a café, shop and the Brewhouse Yard museum on site, all part of the admission ticket, though only assistance dogs can head indoors. Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.

Visitor parking isn't available on site, so you'll need city-centre parking nearby. It's a useful central Nottingham stop if you're visiting with a dog who's happy to wait outside or if you're splitting visits between handlers.
