Nowton Park

Nowton Park is a 200-acre landscaped country park on the edge of Bury St Edmunds, with marked trails, open grassland, woodland and plenty of space for a proper dog walk. Dogs are welcome throughout the park grounds and must be kept under control at all times—there's an exclusion order covering the fenced play area and sports pitches, but the rest of the parkland is yours to explore.

The park offers a café, toilets, picnic areas and a tree trail, plus a large events space that hosts seasonal activities. On-site parking is available with an automatic gate and a parking charge when required.

Opening hours are daily 8am to 9pm from April to the end of August and 8am to 6pm from September to the end of March. It's a proper visitor day out close to town, with room for long sniff-heavy circuits and the kind of open ground where everyone can stretch their legs without tripping over tangled leads every ten paces.
