Old Grey Mare brings Brew York’s craft beer energy to Clifton with a more neighbourhood-pub feel than a city-centre taproom. With 18 taps, Asian street food from YUZU and a warm, dog-friendly atmosphere, it feels lively without losing that local pub comfort. The addition of rooms upstairs gives it a handy stay-over edge too, making it more than just a stop for a pint and turning it into a solid all-round York base with a bit more hop-fuelled personality.
