Tucked away in Bakewell, this Tudor house museum packs centuries of local life into a smaller, more intimate space, so it feels less like a grand attraction and more like stepping into the town’s memory box. The building dates from the reign of Henry VIII and the museum welcomes dogs, though access for non-assistance dogs may occasionally be restricted when school groups are visiting.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside the museum, though access may occasionally be limited during busy periods or school visits. A small, calm space suited to quieter pups.
