That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

A proper "missed your train… or maybe you didn't" kind of stop. The Old Ticket Office sits right inside Cambridge station, but somehow manages to feel like a destination rather than just somewhere to wait. Dogs are welcome inside on lead, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while the rest of the group grabs a pint.

Set in a beautifully restored old station building, it blends high ceilings, original character, and a long bar lined with craft beers, ciders, and everything in between. It's one of those places where you can grab a quick pint before a train… or accidentally settle in and forget about it entirely. There's even a hatch serving coffee and breakfast baps if you're passing through earlier in the day.

The beer offering is a big part of the draw — rotating taps, local brews, and even the option to take your pint away in a can if you're heading off somewhere. Add in solid pub food and a friendly, slightly buzzy atmosphere, and it works just as well for a planned meet-up as it does for a spontaneous stop between journeys with a dog in tow.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside on lead. Just keep an eye on luggage and foot traffic — it's a station pub, so there's usually a bit of friendly chaos.
