Oulton Broad Dayboats offers self-drive boat hire on the Norfolk Broads, just outside Lowestoft and dogs are welcome aboard every vessel. You can book in advance or hire on the day as available, making it a practical choice when you want a proper day out on the water without leaving your dog behind.
Large dogs count as a passenger due to loading regulations, so it's worth mentioning your crew when you book. The boats are easy to handle and the Broads give you miles of calm waterways to explore at your own pace, with plenty of wildlife and reed-fringed channels to keep everyone interested.
Pay-and-display parking is within 100 yards of the hire point and there are two coach parking spaces by the office if you're travelling with a group. It's the kind of outing that suits dogs who settle well in boats and owners who fancy a few hours of gentle navigation and uninterrupted sniff-watching from the bow.
