Overbeck's Garden is a National Trust garden above Salcombe, open Monday to Thursday and Sunday from 10:30 to 16:00. Dogs are welcome on the majority of footpaths on short fixed leads, making it a peaceful visit for owners who prefer coastal gardens with clear dog rules and a manageable walk.
Paths take you through the Olive Grove, where dogs can walk on mown pathways and past the cafe kiosk, where they're welcome in the outside space. The Banana Garden and grassed lawn areas are off-limits except for those mown Olive pathways, so keeping to the footpaths keeps everyone on good terms with the National Trust.
It's a proper destination garden rather than a quick stretch, with booked tours available if you're visiting without your dog. Access is via the National Trust car park at East Soar and the site sits within reach of other dog-friendly coast and countryside walks around Salcombe.
