That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Paddington Meadows is one of those places that feels gloriously a bit more wild than polished. This local nature reserve is the last remaining waterside grassland of its kind in Warrington and links neatly into the Mersey Way New Cut Canal path, the New Cut Heritage and Ecology Trail, and Woolston Eyes Nature Reserve. It suits dogs and humans who prefer sniff-heavy wanders, open skies and a proper “let’s take the scenic way back” sort of outing. Just note that owners are encouraged to keep dogs on leads here between March and August to protect sensitive wildlife and ground-nesting birds.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome, but leads are encouraged, especially during wildlife-sensitive times of year. This is a sniffy nature walk rather than an off-lead free-for-all, so think calm paws and respectful exploring.
