The Peak District Mining Museum brings a different side of Derbyshire’s story into view, focusing on the region’s lead mining past with exhibits that feel rooted in the landscape around you. Based in the Grand Pavilion at Matlock Bath, the museum also offers bookable mine tours, so it works well for anyone who wants more than just glass cases and information boards.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside the museum and on guided mine tours, provided they are comfortable in enclosed spaces. A unique experience for confident pups.
