Penrhyn Castle and Garden is a grand National Trust castle and estate on the edge of Llandudno, offering dog owners a generous day out across Victorian gardens, woodland walks and a dog-friendly café. Dogs on short leads are welcome to explore the formal and informal gardens, making it one of the larger castle grounds in North Wales where your dog can join you outdoors.
The café welcomes dogs, so you can plan a proper break without leaving anyone in the car. The castle interior and shop are assistance dogs only, but the real draw here is the space to roam—sweeping lawns, paths and mature planting designed for a slower wander and plenty of sniff stops.
Free parking and a Welcome Centre make arrival straightforward and the gardens give you enough variety for a solid few hours. It's a proper castle-and-grounds attraction where dogs are genuinely part of the day, not an afterthought.
