Perry Wood Local Nature Reserve

Perry Wood Local Nature Reserve is an ancient woodland reserve on the edge of Worcester, giving dog walks a wilder, more tucked-away feel than a standard town park. With pedestrian access around the clock and a waymarked trail winding through the trees, it suits slower, sniff-heavy outings where the dog can swap pavements for leaf litter, birdsong and important hedge-based investigations.

It feels more natural and less manicured than a managed park, which makes it especially good for everyday decompression walks. The paths offer shade, texture and the kind of quiet that lets dogs focus on the serious business of woodland scent mapping. There is no WCC-managed car park on site, so most visitors arrive on foot or find street parking in the surrounding residential roads.
