Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre

Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre is a renewable-energy attraction on the edge of Pitlochry, with exhibitions exploring hydroelectric power and the surrounding landscape. Dogs are welcome in designated dog-friendly areas inside the centre, making it an easy, weather-friendly pit-stop if you're exploring Highland Perthshire with a curious dog in tow. The centre is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 4.30pm and closed on Mondays.

Ample on-site parking is available, including disabled spaces, though a two-hour restriction applies. Water bowls are provided for visiting dogs and the centre is located very close to Pitlochry town centre, so it's straightforward to combine your visit with a wander around the dam or a coffee break nearby. Dogs must be kept in the designated dog-friendly areas and under control at all times.

Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the entire visitor centre. It's a short, practical visit that works well as part of a longer Pitlochry dog day, especially when the weather turns.
