Pittville Park in Cheltenham is the kind of place where the walk stretches out without much effort. The dog hears water first. Ducks on the lake, footsteps on paths, and that steady rhythm of people settling into a proper park day.

As Cheltenham's largest ornamental park, it blends grand, historic features with wide open space. The eastern side feels more classic. Think the striking Pump Room, lakeside paths, and a gentle buzz of families, play areas, and aviaries. Cross over the road and everything opens up. The western side is bigger, quieter, and a little more natural, with woodland pockets, longer walking routes, and a larger lake that pulls you further in.

There's plenty woven into it. Cafés and kiosks for mid-walk stops, tennis courts, pitch and putt, and space to either wander or properly settle in for a while. It's not just a park you pass through. It's one you build part of the day around.
