Plas Newydd House and Garden is a National Trust historic house and gardens on the outskirts of Llandudno, offering a substantial day out with your dog across extensive grounds and woodland. Dogs are welcome on short leads in almost all the gardens and grounds, including the area outside the mansion, the Rhododendron Garden, Camellia Dell, Coronation Meadow, Arboretum and Church Wood.
The house itself and the Terraced Garden are dog-free for ordinary pets, but there's still plenty of ground to cover with your lead-walker. The gardens offer seasonal interest and proper sniff territory and the on-site visitor car park makes arrival straightforward.
It's a solid destination for a Llandudno-area outing when you want both history and outdoor space without splitting up the pack. Just keep the lead short and steer clear of the house and Terraced Garden and you're set for a good wander.
