Plean Country Park is a large country park just outside Stirling, offering woodland, meadows, historical ruins and marked trails across its grounds. Open 24 hours daily, it's a proper destination for dog owners who want space to explore without the usual time pressure and there's extensive free parking during opening hours to make the visit straightforward. Dogs are welcome across the park grounds and trails and a dedicated enclosed exercise field gives you somewhere safe to let them off lead for a proper run.

It's a thoughtful touch that makes the park particularly useful for training sessions or dogs who need a good gallop. The rest of the park requires usual lead control and you'll need to steer clear of any cordoned-off areas such as the dipping pond closure.

The combination of open meadows, woodland paths and historical features means there's plenty to keep both ends of the lead interested. Whether you're after a quick morning loop or a longer afternoon wander, the park's mix of terrain and the option to use the exercise field makes it a reliably dog-friendly choice near Stirling.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome across the park grounds and trails. A dedicated enclosed exercise field is provided for off-lead use; the rest of the park requires usual lead control and dogs must not enter cordoned-off areas such as the dipping pond closure.
