Poole’s Cavern feels like one of those places where the Peak District suddenly switches from pretty to dramatic, with limestone formations, underground atmosphere and a strong sense of ancient geology doing the heavy lifting. It is described by Buxton Civic Association as one of the finest caves in Derbyshire and pairs the cavern visit with a visitor centre, café and shop above ground.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside the cavern on guided tours, as well as in the surrounding grounds. A cooler, unusual stop for curious dogs.
