Porters Lodge Garden and Tearoom is a three-acre designed garden destination on the edge of Cavenham, close to Bury St Edmunds. Dogs on leads are welcome in the gardens, making this a proper outdoor day out where the whole group can explore together. The site includes a tearoom, though the evidenced dog access is for the garden itself.
Open Friday to Sunday, 9.30am to 4pm, with last garden entry at 3pm. Admission is £5 per person and no booking is needed for standard visits. Free on-site parking is available, with overflow spaces by the roadside if the small car park fills up.
A compact option when you want a proper garden visit rather than just a walk round the park. The lead requirement keeps things manageable and knowing exactly where your dog is welcome saves the guesswork.
