Porthclais

Porthclais is a small managed harbour on the St David's Peninsula, owned and run by the National Trust. The working harbour sits in a sheltered coastal inlet close to St Davids, with industrial heritage, a visitor kiosk, toilets and a compact National Trust car park. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor harbour area and surrounding grounds under close control.

The site makes a short, practical stop for dog owners exploring the St David's Peninsula, offering a chance to stretch legs and take in the coastal setting without a long commitment. The harbour itself is a historic working site, so keeping dogs close helps everyone share the space safely. Parking charges apply dawn to dusk, seven days a week.

The car park is small and Porthclais is open daily from dawn to dusk. It's a straightforward outdoor destination rather than an indoor visitor experience and the harbour setting means coastal hazards and boats are part of the landscape.
