Poundbury Gardens

Poundbury Gardens is a large garden centre in Poundbury, Dorchester, about seven miles from Weymouth and a popular destination for dog owners who want to browse plants, homewares and seasonal displays without leaving their dog behind. Dogs are welcome inside the retail areas, making it easy to pick up everything from spring bedding to patio pots with your four-legged shopping companion in tow.

The centre includes a restaurant on site and the mix of indoor and outdoor stock means you can keep browsing whatever the weather. It's the kind of place where a quick stop for compost can turn into an hour of exploring room sets, gift ideas and the outdoor plant area, all with your dog at your side.

Poundbury Gardens is part of The Gardens Group and sits within the planned community of Poundbury, just outside Dorchester. The one seasonal restriction to note is that dogs aren't allowed into the Christmas displays, but the rest of the year they're free to join you as you wander the aisles and plan your next garden project.
