That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

The Prince of Wales is a solid choice for those easy, no-fuss outings where you want good company and your dog wants to come too, obviously. It’s got that relaxed pub feel that suits everything from a quick stop to a longer settle-in, with plenty of chances to people-watch while your pup perfects the art of lying down and looking angelic. Ideal for post-walk refuelling, meet-ups with friends, or those afternoons when you’re not quite sure what you’re doing but you know a cosy seat would help. Your dog will enjoy the steady hum of conversation and the occasional “hello mate” from passing strangers, which is basically their version of networking. Bring a blanket if they like comfort, and expect them to sigh deeply as if they’re paying rent. They’ll act like a regular within minutes, which is honestly impressive.
