Prosper

Prosper is a plant-based coffee shop on Broad Street in the centre of Ely, where dogs are welcome inside alongside the humans. The café serves speciality coffee, house-made vegan food and a small menu of drinks, with the kitchen open from 9.30am until 2pm.

Resident dogs Eric and Betty are part of the furniture, so visiting hounds tend to feel at home quickly. The space has a relaxed, welcoming feel and the food leans into fresh, seasonal ingredients without making a fuss about it.

It's the sort of place where you can settle in for a proper coffee stop without worrying about the dog under the table or a slightly muddy paw print. Open Tuesday to Thursday until 6.30pm and Friday to Saturday until 3pm, Prosper keeps longer afternoon hours than many Ely cafés, which makes it useful for a late lunch or a post-walk refuel when the rest of the high street has gone quiet.
