Queen Elizabeth Gardens

Queen Elizabeth Gardens is a formal riverside garden in central Salisbury, tucked between Crane Bridge Road and the River Avon with cathedral views and direct access to the Town Path. Dogs are welcome on lead throughout the garden grounds, making it a quick, practical stop for a gentle leg-stretch or a riverside breather between longer walks along the water meadows. The gardens are open 24 hours a day, year-round and offer toilets and cycle racks for visitors.

There's pay-and-display parking at the Lush House car park off Crane Bridge Road, a short walk from the garden entrance. Admission is free.

It's a compact, well-kept outdoor space rather than a rambling park, so ideal for a calm wander with dogs who appreciate formal planting and river views over wide-open fetch territory.
