The Queens Head is a historic pub in Troutbeck, just outside Windermere, where dogs are welcome inside. You'll find a cosy bar and restaurant serving food daily from noon until 8pm, so the whole group can settle in after a fell or valley walk without leaving anyone in the car.
Dogs are welcome throughout the indoor space, meaning you can eat and drink together regardless of the weather. The kitchen runs seven days a week and opening hours stretch until 10pm Sunday to Wednesday and 11pm Thursday to Saturday.
It's an excellent base if you're tackling the Troutbeck Valley or exploring the quieter side of Windermere. The pub also offers dog-friendly rooms and welcome packs for overnight stays, turning a walk-and-pint stop into a proper Lake District break with your dog.
