Radcliffe’s Cafe Bar is a friendly spot in Amble that works whatever the skies are doing. On sunny days the patio fills up fast with people eating and drinking outside, and on not-so-sunny days there’s comfortable indoor seating with free wifi, so you can still settle in for a proper break without the weather bossing you around.

Coffee and tea are locally roasted in Amble, and the drinks list is properly eclectic, with beers, wines and spirits from around the world. There are also around 40 gins to choose from, which is either “nice options” or “decision fatigue”, depending on your mood.

They serve breakfast and lunch too, plus the kind of snacks that turn a quick stop into a longer linger. Dogs are welcome inside and out, which means your pup can come along for the full café-bar experience and quietly monitor every plate that goes past.
