That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

A fascinating museum dedicated to the history of RAF Manston, offering a detailed look at aviation heritage through aircraft displays, memorabilia and personal stories. Set on the former airfield, it’s an immersive, slightly nostalgic experience that brings wartime and post-war history to life in a grounded, accessible way — the kind of place you can take your time and follow whatever catches your interest.

Dogs are genuinely welcomed as part of the family here, and are allowed inside the museum so you can explore together without splitting up. Water bowls are available, and while there aren’t free treats, there are dog items available to buy on site. Owners are simply asked to keep things tidy and clear up after their dog.

A slower, curiosity-led visit where even the dog gets a front-row seat to history.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome on leads around the museum grounds and inside where permitted. It’s a slower-paced environment, so calm behaviour helps keep the experience enjoyable for all visitors.
