That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Tucked into the heart of St Issey near Padstow, Ring O’ Bells Inn is the kind of traditional Cornish village pub that immediately feels reassuringly unchanged in all the right ways. Low beams, cosy corners, proper ales and warm lighting give it that classic “everyone exhales a bit once they’re inside” atmosphere, especially after a long coastal day out with a dog.
Dogs are welcome inside, making it an easy stop for walkers, holidaymakers and anyone exploring the quieter villages around Padstow who wants somewhere genuinely comfortable to settle together. The atmosphere leans relaxed and friendly rather than polished or hurried, with hearty pub food, drinks and a slower village rhythm running through the place.
There’s also a lovely lived-in feel throughout the pub, from the traditional bar setup to the tucked-away dining spaces and old-world character woven into the building itself. It’s the sort of place where muddy paws, countryside wandering and “shall we stay for another?” energy all feel completely normal.

Dogs are more than welcome at Ring O’ Bells Inn, with a water bowl outside, free treats on the bar and even doggy ice cream waiting for four-legged visitors. It’s the sort of cosy village pub where dogs settle in instantly while humans unwind with a pint, proper pub food and that lovely slower Cornwall pace.
