Roughans Gelato

Roughans Gelato is a family-run ice cream parlour and café on Portstewart promenade and dogs are welcome inside in a designated area. Known for handmade gelato, coffee and a busy coastal trade, it's a practical stop when you and your dog need a break from the beachfront.

The menu includes hot food served daily until 18:00, so you can settle in for more than just ice cream. Your dog can join you at the table in the dog-friendly area, with water bowls available and a dedicated dog menu to keep tails wagging while you tackle your gelato.

Open daily from 08:00 to 17:30, Roughans is useful for breakfast, lunch or a mid-walk refuel. It's close to Portrush and sits right on the promenade, making it an easy indoor stop when the wind picks up or you just need everyone under one roof for a bit.
