Peak Rail trains rumble in and out just steps away, which adds a bit of charm (and a lot of sniffing interest for the dog).

Open Wednesday to Sunday regardless of whether trains are running, so you can plan it as a reliable stop rather than a maybe. It works beautifully as a reset point — whether you’re breaking up a Peak District walk or building a full day out around the railway.
