Royal Victoria Park in Bath is one of those big, classic city parks that gives dogs and their humans proper breathing room after narrow streets and pavement queues. Wide paths, open lawns and seasonal planting make it easy to wander at whatever pace suits tired paws or restless noses. It's also a handy green link between different parts of the city, so it slots neatly into a longer day out.

Dogs are welcome throughout the park, though leads are expected around play areas, sports pitches and busy paths where families and joggers share the space. The open lawns offer plenty of sniff-and-explore territory, and the gentle park rhythm means nobody needs to rush.

It's a practical green reset when city sightseeing starts to feel like hard work, and there's enough space for a proper stretch without leaving Bath altogether. Check Visit Bath for seasonal updates and any temporary notices before you go.
