RSPB North Warren is a substantial coastal nature reserve just outside Aldeburgh, offering dog owners multiple circular trails, wildlife viewpoints and a proper stretch of the legs across heath, reedbed and shingle habitat. It's open 24 hours daily, making it a flexible choice for early-morning sniff expeditions or late-afternoon rambles when the light is low and the waders are busy.
Dogs are welcome on all the reserve trails and outdoor areas, provided they're kept under close control to protect ground-nesting birds and other wildlife. There's no visitor centre, cafe or toilets on site, so pack everything you need and treat it as a pure outdoor day out.
A small free RSPB car park sits off Leiston Road and Thorpe Road car park in Aldeburgh is also nearby. The reserve makes an easy addition to a dog-friendly day on the Suffolk coast, especially if you want birdwatching, wild space and the kind of quiet that lets you hear every snuffle and wingbeat.
Good to know:
