Rye Harbour Discovery Centre is a visitor centre and shop on the edge of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, about two miles southeast of Rye town centre. Dogs are welcome inside the Discovery Centre and the on-site shop, making it an excellent browse-and-visit stop before or after exploring the reserve's paths and shingle beaches.
Inside you'll find exhibition spaces, interactive displays, gifts, books and reserve information, all accessible with your dog on a short lead. The Lime Kiln Café is also on site and welcomes dogs in the centre and café areas, so you can settle in together after a windswept walk along the harbour.
The reserve itself offers miles of trails across shingle, saltmarsh and grassland and a visitor car park is available with a donation requested. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome throughout the indoor spaces, though assistance dogs only are permitted in classroom or special-event areas.
