Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is a coastal wildlife reserve on the edge of Rye, where well-behaved dogs are welcome on short leads across the paths, hides and Discovery Centre. The reserve is open all hours, with the visitor centre and exhibition space running daily from 10:00 to 16:00 and a café serving until 15:45. It's a proper day-out destination for dog owners who want wildlife, wetland walks and indoor shelter all in one trip.

Dogs can join you inside the Discovery Centre and its exhibition space, making it easy to duck in from the weather without the usual visitor-centre leave-the-dog-outside shuffle. Only assistance dogs are allowed in the classroom or special-event areas, so check ahead if you're planning a group visit. Short leads are required throughout, with extra seasonal guidance in marked nesting areas during spring and summer.

The reserve has a dedicated car park run by Icklesham Parish Council, open daily from 06:30 to 21:00. Between the coastal paths, hides and indoor access, it's a genuinely dog-friendly nature reserve where the logistics work in your favour.
