Sacrewell is a family farm attraction with a working heritage watermill, animals, outdoor play areas and café near Wansford, about five miles from Stamford. It's the sort of place where a half-day vanishes between pigs, sheep, woodland trails and picnic spots and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome to join you in the evidenced public outdoor areas. The Playbarn is off limits to dogs, but everything else – the farmyard, mill building, gardens and outdoor areas – is open to four-pawed visitors.

It's paid admission for the farm itself, though the café can be visited free of charge. Free parking takes one job off the list.

Sacrewell opens daily from 9am to 4.30pm, so there's plenty of daylight for a proper wander. It's a useful Stamford-area day out when you want animals, fresh air and room to sniff without leaving the dog behind.

Dog Policy:

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the evidenced public outdoor areas, including the farmyard, mill and outdoor areas. Dogs are not allowed in the Playbarn.
