Saltsheds Bar & Bistro is a beachfront spot in Newquay overlooking Towan Beach, serving coffee by day and cocktails by later, with a seasonal menu that leans into handcrafted pizzas, fresh salads and proper burgers. Dogs are welcome inside, which is excellent news when the wind is doing its usual Cornish theatre.

It's the kind of place that suits everything from a sunny lunch to a sunset drink, and the relaxed seaside atmosphere makes it easy to linger. The view does a lot of heavy lifting for the vibe, and nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while someone else grabs food.

Keep it polite: short lead, calm settle, and no attempting to sample someone's pizza crust with stealthy tongue work. Outdoors, be a top human too—pick up after your dog and keep walkways clear.
