Scarborough North Bay Railway is one of those "this turned into a whole afternoon" kind of places, running miniature trains along the North Bay between Peasholm Park and Scalby Mills. Operating since 1931, it offers a relaxed, scenic 2-mile return journey with views over the gardens, coastline and open-air theatre, all from semi-open carriages pulled by heritage-style locomotives.

It's more than just the train too, with extra bits like the Skytrail, water chute, boats and food spots turning it into a proper seaside day out. Dogs are part of the experience here, with water bowls available on site and the option to hop aboard the train with you, making it an easy add-on to a coastal walk or park loop.

A small £1.50 ticket covers your dog for train travel, and leads are required throughout the site, keeping things smooth for everyone enjoying the North Bay.

Dogs can ride the trains and explore the site with you for a £1.50 ticket, with water bowls on hand and leads required throughout. Nobody needs to wait on the platform alone.
